Applicants should be educated in mechanical/electrical engineering and have undergone a recognised industry wide training programme with qualifications in electronics and electrical engineering, preferably City & Guilds or OND. Two years experience of high-speed liquid filling/packaging machines in the food industry and knowledge of PLC's is preferred although full industry familiarisation will be provided. in addition ou should be self-motivated, flexible and a committed team member. You will need to be numerate and literate with well developed analytical and fault finding skills, to be able to respond quickly and effectively to equipment servicing requirements. Awareness of, and commitment to, safe working practices will be essential. Technicians work 5 days over 7, on shifts as per the rota, with overtime as necessary to meet site demands.
