Due to its continued expansion one of the UKs leading multi-discipline support contractors with a current turnover in excess of Millions per annum world wide seeks to strengthen its Operations by recruiting a Cost Engineer to join their team.
Reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager, this role will encompass all aspects of commercial support and cost control, including budgetary accounting, monthly valuations, invoicing and cost/value reconciliation. Candidates must possess relevant experience and qualifications. Responsibilities are but are not limited to:
To liaise with the Operation Manager(s), the Regional Commercial Manager and the
Commercial Manager UKCS to ensure that all commercial issues relating to the schedule are
Undertaken in a timely manner, to the Client and Capes total satisfaction.
To liaise with the Operation Manager(s) in preparing monthly cost variance reports, linking same to a fully maintained cost tracking system, thus allowing all variances to budget to be reported to the Commercial Department on a monthly basis.
To liaise with the Operation Manager(s) and construct accurate monthly forecasts relating to manpower, scaffolding, budget variance, scaffolding stock takes and plant stock takes, for subsequent submission to the Commercial Department
To ensure that electronic and/or paperwork back up is maintained for all commercial transactions thus ensuring that same is available for any subsequent Client or in-house audit process.
To assist and liaise with the Operation Manager(s) with regard all commercial dealings with Client, including attendance of meetings on an as and when appropriate basis.
