Our client, a very successful company in the oil and gas industry, is looking to recruit an Assistant Project Engineer.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Primary function will include but not limited to the following
- Assist in raising requisitions for personnel, equipment and materials prior to project commencement.
- Prepare Cost, Time & Resource documentation.
- Maintain planning procedure to ensure correct and timely delivery.
- Compile and administrate work packs inclusive of Method Statements, Procedures and Risk Assessments both desktop and task-based.
- Support the Project Manager in developing and maintaining client relationships through regular dialogue, meetings, conferences and the likes.
- Offshore visits to carry out work scope audits and evaluation with the aim to gain working knowledge and experience.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree/qualifications HNC/HND, knowledge / awareness of offshore related works, basic commercial awareness and good communications skills and problem solving skills. Candidate will also have a willingness and ability to learn new skills both onshore and offshore, will be H.S.E.Q driven, will have cost control and tracking awareness and have excellent time management skills.
