Our client, an enormously successful company in the oil and gas industry is looking to recruit a Production Manager to take responsibility for managing production activities to ensure operational capabilities are met in order to meet production demand.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production workload is fulfilled on time, implementing manufacturing procedures and processes, ensuring performance reviews are conducted, implementing performance improvement plans that improve operator performance, ensuring work is carried out safely with minimum downtime and will also be responsible for the departments budgets. Candidate will be required to work closely with other departments and sites, ensuring compliance and governance is adhered to. Candidate should be willing to carry out other hoc duties and become involved in special projects as and when required.
The ideal candidate will posses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, knowledge of manufacturing principles, the ability to be flexible, diplomacy and negotiating skills, the ability to work to strict deadlines, skills in the use of Microsoft Office packages, skills in the use of manufacturing system databases, leadership and supervisory skills, the ability to lead and motivate a team, technical skills in relation to producing tools, presentation skills, organisational and planning skills, knowledge of machinery and equipment and the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
The candidate will preferably have a degree, experience of managing a group of employees, experience of adhering to HSE requirements in relation to internal and external processes and procedures and experience gained in a manufacturing environment, specifically in relation to production of good.
