Our client has a requirement for a Commercial Manager to join their business development team based in Westhill, Aberdeen. This client is a leading Oil & Gas service company with international pedigree and an expanding business.
This position is in the organisations business development team which has been created to stimulate global targets and work on a strategic basis to bid on prospective contracts at a global level.
The role incorporates managing the tendering process in the pursuit of future business and negotiating the conditions of tenders with clients and suppliers. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead and organise the workload of the organisations proposals team and constantly evaluate and develop the department.
The senior and strategic nature of this role requires candidates to possess a high level of personal accountability and a strong level of education and experience. This role requires candidates to be degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying, Business Management or law). The client facing nature of this role requires applicants to be presentable, professional and of an articulate and meticulous nature. A proven track-record in a similar role is preferred as is experience of leadership within the Oil & Gas industry. The role will incorporate a global remit and so candidates must be willing to travel for business.
