The position of Purchasing Assistant has become available to join this prestigious Oil and Gas company.
Key responsibilities
To be responsible for procurement of goods and services to meet internal Customer requirements, under the direction of Senior Buyer.
Administration of Purchase Requisitions / Orders and issue of Orders to suppliers in accordance with departmental procedures and authorisation limits.
Responsibility for the effective expediting of goods/ services with Suppliers on overdue delivery dates to meetcompany's operational requirements. Updating RMS/SAP accordingly with updated delivery/ promise dates and advising the originating department.
Establish and maintain good supplier relationships with a view of developing product & business improvements when deemed possible on variations with scope of supply and potential cost/administration savings which would prove advantageous between both parties.
Support thecompany 3rd Party Rental procedure as per QAP/UK 0602 for rental equipment call-off orders to suppliers.
Ensure compliance with thecompany UK Area Quality Assurance Procedure(s).
Assist the Accounts department with invoice enquires requiring clarification/ approval.

Ability to work under pressure, analyse problems and implement solutions.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good administration and organisational skills.
Proficient in use of IT systems and computer literate in purchasing programmes.
