Role - Senior Tax Compliance Accountant
Location - Aberdeen
Leading Service client is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their Tax Team in Aberdeen.
Reporting to the Tax Manager the successful person will be involved in all aspects of tax planning and tax compliance, covering UK, European and African entities, where appropriate. Ensuring that all requirements of reporting to tax authorities are complied with, in conjunction with professional advisors where necessary.
1.Involvement in the preparation of the UK Corporation Tax Computations for submission to the Inland Revenue, including consideration of overall group position, and calculations of payments required.
2.Involvement, where appropriate, in the preparation of European and African tax submissions, incorporating advise and assistance to local accounting groups responsible for the compliance.
3.
Assistance in the preparation of the necessary Corporate and Deferred Tax Provisions for the UK Statutory Accounting Group, providing all the necessary notes for inclusion within the Statutory Accounts
4.Provision of expertise and assistance to the Management Reporting Group to ensure that the US GAAP Management Accounts contain accurate Corporate Tax details, and assist, where required, with the completion of tax information required for the Houston Tax Department
5.Review draft statutory accounts from a tax perspective to ensure that, as much as possible, the statutory accounts accurately reflect information that is required to be highlighted in the tax computations.
6.Where necessary, involvement in the preparation of non UK entitiy tax returns, or equivalent, and ensure compliance with local filing and operational requirements.
7.Involvement in the reporting of personal taxation information to the requisite authorities
8.Involvement in the production of any reports required supporting positions taken by the tax department.
9.Involvement in the above matters for other, non UK entities, within the Region.
10.Involvement in the tax aspects of any Special Projects.
11.Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
Some International Travel Will Be Required.

Essential:
CTA Qualification, or Professional Accountancy Qualification
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
Essential:
Experience in the tax department of a profession advisors office.
Preferred:
Post qualifiying experience, either within a tax department in industry, or a professional office
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
Good working knowledge of UK corporate and personal taxation.
