Job Title: Machine Operator
Department:Machine Shop
Location: Aberdeen
Reports to:Machine/Weld Shop Supervisor
Accountabilities
Carry out all aspects of machining in line with company requirements laid down with the job package.
Maintain and be responsible for the housekeeping of the work area.
Responsible for ensuring all work is undertaken in a safe manner and in line with the companies Health and Safety guidelines/policies.
Carry out any task the company feel relevant to progress the component for the good of all.
Assessing each task on commencement of working on each component and taking decision to stop or carry on with allocated in line with Health and Safety guidelines/legislation.
Complete:Route sheetsAssessment cards and risk assessment documentation as per company safety procedures
Equipment/Machinery : OperationHand tools, Cranes/Forklifts, Air tools, Measuring Equipment, Machines (Lathes, Drills, Horizontal/Vertical Borers)

Knowledge and Experience required Apprenticeship trained or extensive experience with core competencies completed in Assessed as competent in the operation of Forklifts and Cranes Manual handling and associated HS&E training /awareness Observed and where required tested on the operation of our equipment Product knowledge Good interpersonal skills Ability to work to Engineering drawings with limited supervisio n
