Job Title:Quality Control Inspector
Department: Quality Control
Location:Aberdeen
To work in the Quality Control department and carry out inspection routines on machined parts and assemblies of varying complexity and material make up. The job includes recording of data as per procedures and reporting of any faults found through the appropriate channels and procedures.
QUALITY
- Ensure that material being tested is Fit for purpose before conducted any Quality Testing.
- Ensure that all instruments are within Calibration and that they are free from damage.
- Ensure that you are familiar with the most up to date version of work instructions and methodologies to perform any Quality task.
- Concession Raising and facilitating to conclusion
- NCR raising and facilitating to conclusion
- Quality Improvement Team Meetings facilitation and follow up.
- R&D Support Work.
- Working with and communicating with Top Level Management about Quality related matters.
- Routine Testing / Inspection of documentation.
- Analysing data to understand out of control situations.
- Training and educating associates within department on Quality Practices.
- Problem / Route Cause Identifying through Team Working.
- Project Support Work (LEAN, 6SIGMA, Quality Workshops)
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Ensure that any chemicals used are in accordance with correct COSHH controls.
- Ensure that PPE is correctly maintained
- Report machine defects, unsafe Practices, and dangerous scenarios immediately to your Manager.
- Know where the nearest Fire Exit is and where the nearest First Aid box is located.
- Ensure operation of any Emergency Stop devices and that and accurate written record of their testing is maintained.
- FGN report raising and facilitating to conclusion
