Full Description:

Our client, a leading service company based to the north side of Aberdeen are seeking an experienced IT manager.

The IT Manager will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective system of internal and external communications and data management / processing

Key Responsibilities

Installation and management of an ERP system, coordinating support and training as required.

Manage the IT elements of any organisational change, ensuring IT systems are established in all areas of Operations ensuring disruption to the business is minimised.

Database Implementation and management coordinating support and training as required.

Efficiently manage the day-to-day IT problems for the business with troubleshooting, maintenance and technical support.

Manage the planning, evaluation, development and implementation of information systems and telecommunication systems and contracts.

To manage the provision of IT support and maintain business continuity at all times.

Manage all aspects of web based systems ensuring that website management and intranet is running effectively.

Manage external IT suppliers such as web hosts, software and hardware suppliers.

Ensure all commercial aspects of the IT business are recorded with accurate accounts

Ensure that IT systems meet the requirements of all legislative specifications, and company and industry standards.
Liaise with and support / guide personnel with training and queries as required.

Develop good working relationships with internal management ensuring the smooth and timely execution of all IT issues is resolved.

Carry out system administration with the view to reducing commercial and legal risk.

Day to day IT administration will include monitoring and reporting monthly.

Ensure effective back up procedures is carried out; including securing archiving mechanism in order to ensure all company information is securely stored.
Administer security and authorisation levels, Internet technologies and firewalls etc

The job role may require travel to meetings to discuss IT issues.

The job role may require international travel to other bases to manage IT issues as outlined in this job description.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

Relevant experience and proven track record.

Preferred:

Relevant IT Business Degree

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE

Managerial level experience within an oil and gas service company
Candidates will have a previous background within an IT managerial role.
