The opportunity has risen to join this high profile oil and gas company as a proposals coordinator.
The main purpose of the role is to provide a full personal resource to assist with the management of all aspects of the pre-qualification and tender processes.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Internal and external client communication
- Hands on management of the pre-qualification process
- Maintaining a register of bids received/completed and contract awards
- Site/client visits as required
- Ensure that terms and conditions of enquiries are reviewed by the appropriate company commercial representative, and are qualified or otherwise, as per the commercial review
- Interpret the nature and extent of the required submission documentation from the client enquiry and be proactive in assisting with the proposed bid strategy
- Request (and record such request) applicably skilled resource to complete or advise upon relevant return documents
- Implementation of bid strategy
- Assist regional operations with proposals/presentations, other than tender documents, to clients
- Deputising for the UK Proposals Manager during leave or absence A formal business based qualification would be an asset though not essential. More important are excellent communications skills both client facing and internally, with emphasis on written skills. This should be balanced with knowledge of the company disciplines and the contracting industry in general. Estimating, commercial, business development or operational experience could well be the required background as the role will encompass each of these areas to varying levels.
