Job Description

Change International are currently working on behalf on an indigenous exploration company based in India.

This privately funded organisation wish to be recognised as a leading light in the Oil & Gas community and are proactive about growing the company with talented Indian professionals leading the way forward.

They require a Senior Geologist to join their team and provide geological and technical evaluation of exploratory and developmental projects.

Reporting to Chief Geologists, the post holder will be responsible for Subsurface Data Loading, Technical Data Management, Recommending appropriate technologies and techniques, ensuring the use of industry best practice and mentoring junior staff as required.

Change International\' s client is offering a competitive salary and will cover domestic relocation costs.

JOB PROFILE:

• €¢ Independently evaluate hydrocarbon potential of Company\' s exploration licences in India.

• €¢ Integrated interpretation leading to prospect generation.

• €¢ Volumetric estimation of reserves / resources and the risk analysis.

• €¢ Help in preparing exploration programmes to enhance value of assets.

• €¢ Maintain and develop working relationships with partner\' s technical team in connection with these assets and drive them towards your company\' s goal achievement.

• €¢ Evaluate new exploration opportunities for Company from to time to time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• €¢ Post Graduation (M.Sc./M.Tech) in Geology / Petroleum Exploration or Doctorate

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• €¢ 10 years of hands-on industry experience in various facets of Petroleum Geology

• €¢ Expert at interpretation workflows and the application of appropriate software for the various required tasks

• €¢ Knowledge of the regional petroleum geology of India

• €¢ Integrated basin and Prospect analysis in various tectonic settings

• €¢ Understanding of Petroleum system

• €¢ Seismic interpretation and mapping

• €¢ Prospect generation and risking analysis skills

• €¢ Structural geology

• €¢ Source rock analysis and basin modelling

• €¢ Workstation experience is must.

DESIRED

• €¢ Petro-physical/ Well log analysis

• €¢ Operation Geological skills

• €¢ Knowledge of GIS software
