Materials Co-ordinator (Westhill)
Summary of Job Scope
The Materials Dispatchers role is an integral part of a small logistics and procurement team based at this high profile oil and gas company at theirWesthill facility. The primary function of the role is to liaise with other internal departments within the operation, to prepare the necessary documentation via computer-based programmes and to dispatch equipment, spares and assets to various offshore/field locations. The role will also include the procurement of hire equipment, to be defined by others, and the arranging of transport, to deliver outward bound equipment to nominated delivery points for onward shipping offshore. The Dispatcher will be required from time to time to facilitate the import and export of oilfield spares and equipment, together with the associated electronic Fixed Asset movement procedure.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare outward delivery tickets, together with the necessary supporting certification, for assets and equipment being shipped to offshore / field locations.
- Prepare inward reception tickets for equipment being returned from offshore / field locations in a timely manner to ensure Real Time accuracy of electronic control systems (LIS, etc).
- Prepare and process purchase orders for purchasing rental equipment, for which the specifications and suppliers are to be defined by others.
- Return hire equipment off-hire to vendors upon return from field locations and amend databases accordingly.
- Purchasing of local supplies and adjustments to stock control systems as required.
- Liase with and update asset movements within the i-District asset tracking application.
- Participate in the departments on-call duty rota.
- Any other associated duties as defined by the immediate supervisor. Key Behavioural Factors

The Materials Dispatcher reports directly to the NSG WSV Supply Chain Manager and functionally to the Department Team Lead on a daily basis.
Personal Profile
- Experienced and qualified in the Materials Logistics & Procurement business.
- Qualification / experience of Dangerous Goods transportation regulations (Air / Sea / Road).
- Computer Literate; experience with parts/logistics/procurement software.
