| My client provisionally has 18 months left on the construction of a welded steel gas pipeline to carry natural gas between the terminal at St. Fergus and the Aberdeen compressor station.This job has encountered significant factors, which have complicated it. These include the route itself. This crossed sixty-two roads, nine rivers and a railway line. The project was one of the first strategic uses of X80 grade steel pipe. Automatic ultrasonic testing was employed to assess weld quality. With a very low staff turnover, and a commitment to staff improvement, my client has a dedication to its employees which is almost unrivalled in the industry. They are currently looking for a Project Planner to join their highly successful and competitive team. The successful applicant will have a strong working knowledge of Primavera and Project planner, and other planning software. Their main duties will involve, Dealing with subcontractors Progressing work Working with NEC contract Forward planning Dealing with delays, and finding solutions Hays Construction in the North East of Scotland currently has 6 specialist consultants.
