Contributing to the smooth running of the Reception/Records area and providing the best possible care for patients by being helpful, efficient and conscientious memeber of the team. Duties should be carried out in a responsible manner, ensuring confidentiality at all times, in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and time-scales.
Dealing with telephone calls and conveying messages where appropriate, updating the paitient database with accurate information and dealing with patients at the reception desk, ascertaining their needs and giving appropriate direction. Booking appointments for patients and registering new patients and accepting requests for repeat prescriptions and arranging transport for patients. issuing results to patients and filinf results and any other relevant documents in patients notes. Plus various other ad-hoc duties as required.
