Full Description:
We are currently looking for a Technical Assistant for a position we have coming up in Aberdeen

Position Overview

The position forms part of the Project Engineering, Project Services Function within the Technical Directorate of EP Europe. The Project Services function is organized in a matrix fashion in order to maximize provision of expertise and support across project teams

This role supports the delivery of QM/IM/KM across EPE by:

Providing a service to create, update and maintain the PE web pages and associated Livelink areas.
Administer the Fountain assurance process with PE,
Support and administer the KM process across EPE,
Provide IM advice and support to Front End Engineering groups.
Additionally the role may require occasional travel to EPE locations across Europe.

Position Description (purpose)

To provide Technical and administrative support and expertise to project engineering through provision of;

Knowledge Management Support;

Administer KM learning capture and dissemination,
Gather, format and store project learning in LL “database”.
Provide analysis of KM learning on Quarterly basis or as required.
Co-ordinate /support learning events, ie Engineering market
Provide training and continuous development of KM "Learning" capture database & web pages
Provide analysis of audit and review data on Quarterly basis or as required.

Project Engineering Web Improvement service;

Contribute to plan to maintain and improve the PE web pages and underlying LL data store.
Implement plan on an ongoing basis

Project Assurance Administration (Fountain);

Act as the Project Engineering Fountain Assurance focal point.
Provide training to other Fountain Assurance focal points within project engineering as required.
Input and manage audit and review information into Fountain through to closure of actions.
Generate and circulate monthly fountain status reports as required.

Information Management support;

General support and deliver training wrt to LL upgrade
Get trained in new LL release (train the trainer)
Be GRM focal point and support for front end engineering

- QM/IM/KM departmental support;

Support generation of Quarterly QM/IM/KM newsletter
Administer Quality alerts database
Support deployment, maintenance of Project Quality Management System.

Experience and Qualifications

Some experience of IM and KM aspects of Oil and Gas operator.
Involvement with web page maintenance and improvement.

Key Competences required

Knowledge of project management processes.
Skill in design, development and maintenance of Web pages.
Skill in use of Windows based operating systems
Knowledge/Skill in use of Livelink
Awareness of KM techniques.
