Leading global marine company based in Aberdeen are seeking an IT Co-ordinator to manage the local set up and support for the Aberdeen office.
This role will support 60+ users. This is a standalone role providing local IT setup and support, with functional reporting to the European IT Manager in London.
The key dimensions of the role are:
Provide a supporting interface between the local operations and the London based IT team
Liaise with IT team to maintain consistency of processes and procedures
Configuring new PCs, laptops, printers etc and installing relevant software
Setting up new user accounts
Providing first line technical support to office based staff
Assisting home workers with IT setup and technical support
Responsible for Backups, Monitoring and Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam
Liaison with technical departments from partner network providers
Assist IT team with maintaining, developing and upgrading Europe-wide network and server infrastructure
Candidate Specification
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Ability to rapidly diagnose and resolve problems with IP networks
Proficient in Microsoft applications with excellent administration skills
Previous experience of network administration and understanding of IT security policies
Knowledge of telecommunications architectures
Proactive, able to manage a varied and busy workload
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
